On June 19, 2026, SITRAOVDISE participated, together with CONNECT International Nicaragua, in an information kiosk on Human and Labour Rights. During the activity, participants discussed issues related to sexual diversity (LGBTI) and the work the union has been carrying out to defend the labour rights of all workers.
This was the first time that Connect had organized an activity of this kind. The company employs approximately 800 workers and recognizes its responsibility to uphold their human and labour rights, while also promoting a workplace free from discrimination.
Connect International, through its Marketing Manager, Ms. Ingrit Morales, established direct contact with SITRAOVDISE via Facebook after learning about and following the various activities and publications carried out by the union.
As a result of this activity, the company’s General Management requested that SITRAOVDISE organize a similar event at another branch. The company also expressed its interest in maintaining ongoing communication and making its facilities available for future activities in which workers can participate, receive training, and access information on topics related to human rights, labour rights, and sexual diversity.
