Countries from Central Asia and Eastern Europe showcased their traditional crafts and folk art at the second Festival of International Traditions in Handicrafts, held in Pomorie, Bulgaria, from July 24 to 31 this year.
In tents set up in the town center, foreign artisans offered original handmade products, souvenirs, and culinary delights. A “Workshop for Adults and Children” provided hands-on experiences, while a competition for the “Most Thematic Product” recognized excellence in categories such as natural-material souvenirs, fabrics, jewelry, and knitwear. An exhibition featuring work by the youngest participants was also displayed at the Municipal Children’s Complex.
Demonstrations by masters from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, and Tajikistan drew particular interest. The event was organized by the HomeNet Eastern Europe and Central Asia, with the support of the Municipality of Pomorie and the Public Association Prosveta 1888.
