HomeNet Africa carried forward the lessons learnt from the implementation of the livelihood projects with HomeNet Kenya membership in the period 2021/2022 and rolled out a technical support approach to the HomeNet International affiliates in Uganda. The program supports beekeeping, fruit-drying and fish farming initiatives by the affiliates.

The activity took place in the Kayunga district of Uganda and the participants belonged to Kangulumira United Weavers Association (KUWWA)/Ngalo Buwereza Organization (NBO).

Participants engaged in making the local beehives by weaving the local beehive and completing it. There were plans to transfer the completed beehive to the garden but rain disrupted the movement of it to the garden which was a distance away from the training area. However, the same was moved to the site a day later.
