HomeNet Africa, with support from HomeNet Kenya, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Environment Trust Fund (NETFUND) to build the capacity of individuals across HomeNet Africa member organizations. The signing took place on September 1, 2025, at Water House in Nairobi.
The program will be implemented in five phases:
- Phase I: Resource Mobilization Readiness Assessment
- Phase II: Curriculum and Training Content Development
- Phase III: Foundation Training on Resource Mobilization and Proposal Writing
- Phase IV: Institutional Application and Mentored Implementation
- Phase V: Peer Learning & Cross-Institutional Exchange
HomeNet Africa was represented by Regional Coordinator Edwin Bett, HomeNet Kenya’s Vice-Chairperson Pamelah Adhiambo, and Governance and Finance Advisor Fredrick Masinde. NETFUND was represented by CEO Samson Toniok and staff members Borniface Magara, Millicent Nyakaga, Fredrick Kamoi, Victoria Achieng, and Daphine Vugudza.
The collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening fundraising skills and sustainability practices across HomeNet Africa’s network.
