HomeNet Southeast Asia (HNSEA) comprises six member countries: HomeNet Cambodia, HomeNet Indonesia, HomeNet Laos, HomeNet Philippines, HomeNet Thailand, and HomeNet Vietnam. We conducted our Assembly on May 19-20, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The HNSEA Assembly is held every three years. The agenda of the assembly includes meetings amongst HNSEA Council members, elections for new HNSEA Executive Committee members, and a review of the work completed over the past three years concerning our vision, mission, and objectives. Additionally, we analyze existing limitations and discuss the way forward.
During this assembly, we also reviewed and made amendments to the HNSEA Constitution and Bylaws to ensure they are up-to-date.
An additional important agenda item is our one-year plan, which we agreed to focus on advocating for the ratification of C177, the ILO Convention on Home Work, addressing the impact of climate change on home-based workers—including organizing more homeworkers—and expanding our network to other countries in Southeast Asia.
