In honour of International Women’s Day, HNI hosted a virtual event on Thursday, March 7th for the kick-off of the study on “Gender and Home-based Work”, an initiative led by the HNI Gender Committee.

In the session we talked about the aim of the study and participation required by all HNI affiliates to truly make it a global study. The survey aims to collect data on home-based workers (HBWs) and will cover topics such as work, working environment, challenges and benefits of working from home, gender, awareness of ILO C190, amongst others. The goal is to better understand the realities faced by HBWs in order to develop advocacy and strategic plans.
