HomeNet International will participate with a delegation of home-based worker leaders and representatives at the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), taking place from June 1–12, 2026.
During this two-week session, governments, employers, and workers’ organizations from around the world will engage in key discussions shaping the future of work. This year’s agenda includes discussions on standard-setting for decent work in the platform economy, on social dialogue and tripartism, and on the transformative agenda for gender equality at work.
Together with delegations from our sister organizations — the International Domestic Workers Federation (IDWF), StreetNet International, the Global Alliance of Waste Pickers, and WIEGO — HomeNet International will bring the voices and realities of home-based workers to the stage and call for inclusive labour standards, gender-responsive policies, universal social protection, and meaningful participation of informal economy workers in decision-making spaces. As platformization, digitalization, and economic inequalities continue to reshape the world of work, HNI will continue pushing to ensure that decent work, labour protections, and collective bargaining rights reach all workers — including those working from their homes.
