Our new Home-Based Workers’ Bazaar is not just a website page; it’s a symbol of hope and solidarity. It’s a call to action for all of us to stand together and support home-based workers in their journey towards economic recovery and empowerment.

This historic second HNI Congress was an action-packed four-day event that took place from April 25 to 28 in Kathmandu, Nepal. HNI welcomed over 200 participants from 71 HNI affiliate organisations, as well as sister organisations and allies.

With our third issue HomeNet International welcomes the confirmation of 39 new affiliate members from around the world! Our global network of membership-based organisations is now made up of 71 affiliate organisations from 30 countries and represents over 1.3 million home-based workers, of which approximately 95 percent are women.

Our second issue brings closure to a memorable 2022 and pays tribute to our beloved Elaben Bhatt, founder and former Secretary General of the Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) in India

Our very first issue of the HomeNet International newsletter — a milestone moment for our young and growing global network. From coverage of the 110th International Labour Conference to affiliates’ achievements and new training initiatives, our first edition captures the energy of a movement coming together. It also invites affiliates to join us in marking International Home-Based Workers Day.
