HNI Crowdfunding Training Programme

Online Training

Crowdfunding

The pandemic has had a huge impact on the lives and livelihoods of home-based workers and their organisations. This has been accompanied by natural and human-made disasters in various parts of the world leading to double jeopardy for home-based workers. One of the key requests of HNI affiliates was to train them on crowdfunding, which has proven to be very effective for raising small funds, especially during the times of emergencies and disasters.

HNI is very happy to announce a 10 week long online course on crowdfunding. The goal of this course is for the participants to launch their first crowdfunding campaign. The training will include sessions that are useful beyond crowdfunding, such as story writing, how to take quality photos and the use of social media platforms such as Facebook.

The course is organised by HNI in partnership with WIEGO and will be delivered by Mr. Marco Kuntze from Relishing Digital, an experienced digital fundraiser.

Some of the course details are –

Meeting ID: 840 1564 5184
Passcode: 600985

HNI would like to invite nominations of at least two participants from each of its affiliate organisations. Some of the criteria to consider before nominating participants are-
  1. Time - The course will start on 17th August 2022 and end on 30th November. It will be a 90 minutes weekly/bi-weekly session.
  2. Language for the course - The course will be run in English (no interpretation will be provided) due to the complexity of the information provided.
  3. Responsibility of the Trainee - The trainee will be someone who is able to run an online crowdfunding campaign. One-on-one support sessions with the trainer will also be available.
