The HomeNet International (HNI) team, comprising Jemima Nyakongo, Interim Coordinator, and Srujana Banala, Finance and Operations Coordinator, together with HNI’s compliance consultants, Suri & Sudhir, Chartered Accountants, represented by Anuj Arora and Preeti Bansal, met with Rogers Capital Trustees Services Limited, HNI’s trustee in Mauritius, on 17 and 18 September 2026.

This was HNI’s first in-person meeting with the Trustee following HNI’s registration in Mauritius. Over two days, the teams held detailed discussions on governance, financial, banking and compliance matters relating to HNI’s operations.

The HNI team presented an overview of HNI’s work since its launch in February 2021, including its presence across five regions and its programmatic and membership-based approach.

The discussions gave the Trustee and its team members a clearer understanding of HNI’s membership-based model and identified practical ways to support HNI’s specific operational requirements.

The team, along with representatives of the Trustee, also met with AfrAsia Bank, HNI’s banking partner in Mauritius. The discussion was constructive and focused on simplifying HNI’s banking arrangements to enable smoother day-to-day operations, including fund flows across its regions.

The meetings laid a strong foundation for a constructive working relationship with the Trustee and the bank, and for HNI’s continued operations from Mauritius.
